Work is progressing on the Asia-Oceania Conference. To stay up to date visit AOR 2010. This page also has information on how to submit an application to present at the conference. The conference will be the first IAEM conference outside of the USA. To make it a success we need members support in:

Sourcing speakers

Spreading the word about the conference
Attending the conference

The Oceania Membership Survey is open to all Oceania members. Take part and help contribute to your voice to shaping our Council. The survey takes a few minutes to complete and will be available for all of April. To complete the survey click HERE.

IAEM-Oceania recently reached a milestone – our first Annual General Meeting (AGM). In the 20 or so months since our creation as an IAEM Region (now Council), IAEM Oceania has grown to more than 200 members. A number of members managed to make it to Sydney on Sept. 11 for the AGM. Those who attended came from all over the Council region, including the states of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory, and three members flew in from New Zealand.

The IAEM Board of Directors on Mar. 14 approved the creation of IAEM Oceania as the 15th IAEM region. The new president of IAEM Oceania is Tony Pearce, the Director General of the Emergency Management Australia, and the Vice President is Kristin Hoskin from New Zealand. IAEM Oceania currently has more than 120 members and is growing. IAEM enthusiastically welcomes this new region to our IAEM “family.”
